| Honorary Members: |
People of distinction of Members of the community who have rendered distinguished services to the Foundation or to the advancement of health education and health promotion may be nominated for election to Honorary Members. Such election will require a minimun of two-thirds of the votes cast by Members of the Council.

| Institutional Members: |
An organization committed to health education and health promotion shall be eligible for admission as Institutional Member upon approval by the Council. Such organization would nominate one person to represent the organization in executing the right as full member including the exercise of the voting right of the Institutional Member and election as Council Member.

| Full Members: |
A person shall be eligible for admission to Full Member upon approval by the Council if:-
- he or she is a professional in the field of medicine, health, education, social services or in a related field concerning health education and health promotion; and
- (b) he or she is actively involved in health education and health promotion.

| Affiliate Members*: |
A person who is interested in and committed to health education and health promotion but does not possess the qualification required for Full Member can be admitted as an Affiliate Member upon approval by the Council. He or she will be admitted as Full Member once he or she fulfills the Full Member's requirements.

| Overseas Members: |
A practitioner in health education and health promotion who works and resides outside Hong Kong or though a Hong Kong resident has not practised and resided in Hong Kong for a substantial period of time shall be eligible for admission to Overseas Member upon approval by the Council. |

Every person who wishes to join the Foundation as a Member other than an Honorary Member shall submit an application to the Council and upon being accepted shall pay an admission fee and a membership fee.
Application Fees
Honorary Members are not required to pay any admission fee or membership fee.

Admission Fee: HK$ 200 For All New Members (except for Honorary Members)
For annual payment, it will cover the period from January 1 to December 31.
For those join in the second half of the year, i.e., on and after July 1 of the year, they will only need to pay half of the year annual subscription.
For three year membership fee, it will count from January 1 of the year until December 31 of the third year, e.g., if join in 2000, the three year membership fee will expire after December 31, 2002.
